Our Physicians

Javier Rojas, MD

Dr. Javier Rojas is originally from Chile, graduated from medical school in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He continued his education at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital for his anesthesiology residency. Completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia at Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital. Started the cardiac anesthesia program at AdventHealth Zephyrhills. Since 2008, he has been leading the department of anesthesia. He has served in different leadership roles as chief of staff and chief medical officer. He has an interest in cardiac anesthesia/TEE, and regional techniques. He enjoys mentoring young students in the medical field.

Ehijele Omoike, MD

Dr. Ehijele Omoike is originally from Nigeria but moved to the suburbs of Chicago as a kid. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in microbiology then Doctor of Medicine from University of Illinois. Next, he completed his residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. He joined the anesthesia group here in 2005 straight from residency and has not left. He previously held chair of the Pharmacy and therapeutic committee. Dr. Omoike enjoys spending time with his family and working out.

Aaron Hanson MD

Dr. Aaron Hanson is originally from North Dakota. He obtained his degree in chemistry at the University of North Dakota. He then attended Oakland University William Beaumont school of medicine for medical school. Next, he completed his residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. He practices multispecialty anesthesia with a special interest for pediatric, obstetric, and vascular anesthesia. He was elected chief of surgery at Advent Health Zephyrhills and aims to optimize the anesthesia and surgical workflows.

Lisa Patel, MD

Dr. Weinberg , MD

Dr. Weinberg is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained expert in interventional pain medicine. He completed both his residency in anesthesiology and a pain medicine fellowship at the prestigious University of Michigan, where he trained under world-renowned physicians. Dr. Weinberg earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Cornell University. He then contributed to clinical research on the neurobiology of late-life depression at Cornell Medical School and on schizophrenia at Yale University. Dr. Weinberg earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Carolina, where he excelled academically and was honored with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. He also received the esteemed Dean’s Special Recognition Award for his outstanding academic achievements. Growing up in a family of medical professionals, he embraced a commitment to patient care that integrates cutting-edge medical knowledge with a deep sense of humanism and compassion, ensuring the highest quality of care for you and your loved ones.

Dr. Kate Davis,MD

Dr. Kate Davis was born and raised in Chicago. She left there to pursue undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and American History at Smith College, in western Massachusetts. Life unexpectedly took her to Baltimore, where she went to the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, for her medical degree, her Anesthesiology residency, and where she spent many years of her career. Dr. Davis practices multispecialty Anesthesiology, with a particular focus on Obstetric Anesthesiology; she has held administrative roles collaborating with Obstetrics teams for most of her career. Dr. Davis has been in the Tampa area since 2018, and has loved being part of the Dade City/ Zephyrhills community. She spends her free time with her husband, caring for several rescue and retired farm animals.
